it's 28 dec 2020, 21:28. soon we'll welcome a new year to live in. i used to think that a year is just a number, and there's not much significance to an orbit around the sun, i also never celebrate birthdays. but... this year... i started to open myself up to the kindness and softness of resets. savor the patience that comes with gifting yourself a start when you need it... whether it's a new notebook even though your old one still has blank pages in it, mindfully washing up a used cup before pouring your new drink in it, spending time browsing your hard drive and old folders before neatly archiving it and unplugging it, deleting all photos on your phone and starting over with 0... these humble acts of newness has been getting me through a lot.
i don't know much about you, mostly that you live in colorado, go to school, and like warm colors, poetry, and tea. one thing i feel immense gratitude for this year is being able to visit colorado for the first time and go camping for several days at rocky mountain national park... i thought i'd make you a website inspired by the colors and the gradual warming effects of tea, and share with you the pictures i took during those brief offline days, of a place that is really close to you, probably in a state where you stayed through the entire year, spending lots of time online. hope they might inspire simmering feelings of a new start...
happy new year
